Amrad Knob Dial Rheostat Ampliformer The Wireless Age Magazine Jan. 1921 P4
This rare, ancient, Wireless Age, January 1921 issue of the now defunct, early radio magazine - The Wireless Age - on Page 4 had the following;
"Amrad Knob and Dial, Amrad Rheostat
Amrad Ampliformer
A lightly efficient type of amplifying transformer, used in all standard Amrad VT Amplifier Units soon appear. Possesses all the good features of existing designs, and none of the objections. 25 to 50% increase in audibility of signals obtainable due to special core construction avoiding conventional lap-joints. Low reluctance thus obtained, together with proper impedance in primary and maximum voltage amplification consistent with stable operation in secondary, assure an unusual instrument for as many stages of amplification as will ordinarily be required."
